Adobe Flash CS4 (ACE) Course is designed to help students prepare for the Adobe Certified Expert Flash CS4 examination. All home study course materials are officially endorsed by Adobe.
The home study courses consist of Officially endorsed ACE Courses books, accompanying CD Rom�s containing exercise files and online CertBlaster Exam Preparation Software.
Please Note: The home study courses are not compatible with Apple Mac Computers.
Adobe Flash CS4 Basics Course Book:This book introduces the basic elements and features of Flash CS4 Professional so that students can begin creating Flash applications for delivery on the Web. Students will learn how to use the Stage and the Library, create and format text, and work with basic shapes. In addition, students will learn the fundamentals of working with the Timeline.
Students will also learn how to format objects by using custom colors and gradients and by applying filters and soft edges and will create frame-by-frame, motion tween, and movie clip animations.
Students will also work with interactive components such as buttons and audio controls. Finally, students will learn about accessibility options for Flash content, test the download performance of a Flash file, and publish a Flash file.

Adobe Flash CS4 Advanced Course Book:Students will create and edit vector paths and mask layers and will also learn advanced animation techniques, such as inverse kinematics, shape and motion tweens, and animated masks.
Students will then learn some basic programming principles while using ActionScript 3.0 to get more control over their Flash applications. Finally, students will incorporate audio and video into their Flash documents.

- Unit 2: Advanced Animation Techniques
The following topics are covered: Inverse kinematics; Shape tweens and animated masks; Filter animation; and The Motion Editor.
- Unit 3: ActionScript Animation
The following topics are covered: Programming principles; Event listeners and event handlers; Modular code; Special classes; and The Debugger.
- Unit 4: Interactive Techniques
The following topics are covered: Adding audio; Scripting a link to a Web page; and Loading dynamic content.
The following topics are covered: Flash video basics; Video in Flash files; and ACE Exam Objectives.
Pre-Requirements:There are no particular entry requirements as the course is set out for beginners although
students will require their own version of Adobe Flash CS4 to complete the course.
Course Duration & Support:Students may register at any time. The home study courses are designed as self-study courses but if you have any problems you can email our email support. As the home study courses are self study you can complete in as little or as long a time as you prefer, and we do not impose a cut-off date for study.
Assessment:Assessment is in the form an Adobe Certified Expert Examination. Examinations are in a multiple choice/multiple answer format and are 90 minutes in length each.
Qualification: On Completion of Course, you can apply for your
internationally recognised Adobe Flash CS4 9A0-092 Examination.
