AutoCAD Essentials (for beginners)

AutoCAD Essentials training is ideal for:

• Newcomers to AutoCAD and CAD drawing.
• Users with a small amount of AutoCAD experience.
• Users who have previously used a different CAD tool and are looking to migrate to AutoCAD.

Prerequisite: Delegates should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows. No prior CAD knowledge is necessary.

AutoCAD Essentials covers the following areas:

DAY 1

• Taking the AutoCAD Tour
• Creating basic drawings
• Manipulating objects

DAY 2

• Drawing organisation and inquiry commands
• Altering objects
• Working with layouts
• Annotating the drawing

DAY 3

• Dimensioning
• Hatching objects
• Working with reusable content
• Creating additional drawing objects
• Plotting your drawings
• Creating drawing templates

Scheduled AutoCAD Essentials training courses run in 2012 are based on AutoCAD 2012 / AutoCAD LT 2012, although most of the techniques taught are relevant to all recent releases of AutoCAD. If you are using a different version of AutoCAD, the trainer will be happy to spend time looking at this with you during the course.

On-demand courses for groups can be run on any recent version, from AutoCAD 2000 to AutoCAD 2012.

Scheduled AutoCAD Essentials courses are hosted in Bromsgrove in the Midlands.

On-demand AutoCAD Essentials courses (for your group) can be run on a date and at a location that suits you, which may be our training centre in Bromsgrove or your venue.

Autodesk e-certificate

We are an Autodesk authorised Training Centre (ATC), and our Learning AutoCAD training course is accredited by Autodesk. Delegates receive an industry recognised e-certificate from Autodesk to confirm they have attended and successfully completed an accredited AutoCAD training course.

AutoCAD certification

Autodesk offers a program of professional certification for which Armada is an authorised Autodesk Certification Centre (ACC). All delegates attending Learning AutoCAD training at Armada are eligible to take an exam, either at the end of their course or on a later date, in order to gain 'Autodesk-certified' status for AutoCAD.

Following AutoCAD Essentials training, delegates are entitled to 30 days email support from Armada
to help with any post-training issues.

Scheduled AutoCAD Essentials course (3 days): £495 + VAT per delegate. This price is inclusive of all relevant course documentation, refreshments and a buffet lunch. Discounts available for multiple bookings.

On-demand AutoCAD Essentials course, exclusively for your group (3 days): £1,400 + VAT for the first delegate, plus £100 + VAT per subsequent delegate. This is for a course hosted in Bromsgrove.
