IP Basics
TCP/IP is the protocol suite that has become the de facto standard for open systems internetworking. This course provides an introduction and overview of IP-based communication.
The participant will learn the structure of the TCP/IP stack and the characteristics and responsibilities of the protocols at each layer. The course also covers the most common Internet applications and how they use IP for communication.
Objectives of the course
To provide a good understanding of the protocols and functions on which IP-based communication systems are built.
Course documentation
The course is accompanied by our own course material and the book TCP/IP Illustrated Volume 1: The Protocols by W. Richard Stevens. The course can be given in English or Swedish.
