The CompTIA Linux+ Powered by LPI Course covers the Linux+ LX0-101 and LX0-102 exam syllabus which is a high-stakes, vendor-neutral certification that validates the fundamental knowledge and skills required of junior Linux administrators.
CompTIA Linux+ Powered by LPI consists of two exams, LX0-101 and LX0-102. The exams cover system architecture; Linux installation and package management; GNU and Unix commands; devices, Linux filesystems, and the Filesystem Hierarchy Standard. Professionals who pass the exam can work at the Linux command line, perform maintenance tasks, assist users, and install and configure workstations.

A new benefit for CompTIA Linux+ is that candidates may choose, at the time they take the exams, to have their exam record forwarded to the Linux Professional Institute.
Certification in CompTIA Linux+ Powered by LPI enables candidates to become certified in LPIC-1 as well, enabling further participation in the LPI program if the candidate chooses.
PLEASE NOTE: The Linux+ Certification Course is designed as a theory-based course but does contain all relevant information on how to complete practical exercises. The course books that we use are Official CompTIA Press Course materials. The home study course is originally designed as an Instructor led course but is a convenient learning tool for individuals who do not have the flexibility to attend traditional classroom training, and because of this format it details the practical elements in greater detail than other courses available.

Pre-Requirements:
It is recommended that candidates have at least 12 months of Linux administration experience, along with CompTIA A+ or CompTIA Network+ certification although this is not an actual requirement. Students will need the Free - Debian 5.0 (Lenny) software.
Course Duration & Support:
Students may register at any time. The courses are designed as self-study courses but if you have any problems you can email our email support. As the course is self study you can complete in as little or as long a time as you prefer, and we do not impose a cut-off date for study.
Assessment:
Assessment is from the Linux+ Certification LX0-101 and LX0-102 Examinations.
Qualification:
On Completion of the Linux+ Certification course, you can apply for your internationally recognised Linux+ LX0-001 & LXO-102 Examinations which are �120.00 + VAT each.
Exams must be sat at a registered Prometric or Pearson VUE testing centre.
